What is J-VER/J-CREDIT?

J-VER/J-CREDIT are the specific carbon offsetting credits authorized by the Japanese government for use solely in the Japanese market.

Nakae Sangyo Co., Ltd. carefully cultivates and maintains our own company forests through prudent thinning practices.
The amount of CO2 absorbed was certified and issued as Forest Carbon Absorption Credits under the Offset Credit (J-VER) Scheme and the J-CREDIT Scheme. The funds obtained from the sale of these credits will be used to cover a portion of the costs of forest maintenance, to create sustainable forests, to help preserve CO2 sinks, improve water holding capacity, prevent global warming, and protect biodiversity.

Useful for environmental policies that emissions reduction efforts alone can’t meet.
